Over at overclockers forum, i just read an article on 1800+ DLT3C (t-bred B versions) that also run at 1.5volts. These maybe the next 1700+ DLT3C and maybe available now. I plan on getting one soon and a friend can help me pick out a certain cpu, so if he sees any of these I might just get one and let you know good it is.

There's one with a "SP" or "TP" batch code that is having many successes at 2.4 or higher.

yeah... 1800+ DLT3C's are pretty hard to find unless you can find a local store where you can look at the tray and pick it out...

other than that... i only know of one vendor in UK that allows you to pick your 1800+ (lost link though)

other than that... dunno where to get one of these from...

Here they sell 1700 and 1800 DLT3C JIUHB's. Currently out of stock on the 1800 though, 1700 back in.

I was really glad to see this topic b/c I just got an 1800+ from newegg. Code is:

AXDA1800DLT3C 9570196281001
JIUHB 0308 SPMW

I was going to get a 1700+ retail when people were reporting receiving 310s from newegg, but they sold out. Figured I'd have better chance of getting good stepping w/retail version. The retail 1800+ is actually cheaper than the 1700+ anyway.

I'm sure you want me to tell you how well it o/c's, but I can't right now. I ordered an 8RDA+ with it, but got the old A3 stepping w/the silver NB. This pissed me off since people were saying Newegg only had the C1/A1 stepping now, and I read about people that got the new stepping 2 weeks ago. Anyway, I RMAed the board and will hopefully get the better stepping now. Has anyone else ordered an 8RDA+ from Newegg recently? What stepping?

I will also be RAM limited (though I'll probably break down and get some soon, I was thinking Geil), but I guess I can just run it asynch to test the processor. I should receive my new board Thu or Fri, so I'll keep you posted.

Also does anyone know where to get the Coolermaster Aero 7+? It may not be out yet. It has an 80mm fan, whereas the plain Aero 7 has a 70mm fan (who makes 70mm fans?). Excaliburpc sells just the fan for $12.99, which isn't bad, but I think I'd rather just have the whole package (w/front and back plate for knob). I'm speculating that they've completely quit making the 70mm fan/hs and are in the process of switching to 80mm fan/hs and so that's why neither are available now.

So if anyone knows where these might be available, then speak up (or rather, post up).

Hmm...maybe I should post this in the cooling section...

Good thing he can hand pick those chips..he could get 1700+'s with very good steppings..but..any ideas on the 1800 to confirm??

In Korea, 1800+ is the cheapest Tbred available (they don't sell 1700+). For this reason, the entire OC community is on getting the best OC XP 1800+. So far, with the new XP 1800+s (1.5v), they're reporting good OC results w/ SP, TP & UP batch codes. I don't know about VP but I assume it's good since it appears to be a recent batch. They're saying the batch code w/ RP or older is a poor OC.
