Looking to update my faithful AXIA 'Y' '9' 1Ghz which currently runs 1.53Ghz. I want to run the new proc in my trusty KG7, too.

Questions:

- Is the unlock on these <12 mult CPU's still via L1?
- What is the avg OC on this stepping?

I really want to get as much out of my mobo before biting the bullet and changing it. I have a CAKII-38 for cooling so that should cover whatever this proc can throw at it.

Looks like a late stepping T-bred A. What's the mfg. date? I think these chips did pretty well, most of them hitting the 2ghz mark on air cooling with relative ease.
