1800+ at newegg for only 88 bucks

Or the poor mans 1.2Ghz Durons for $48 with free shipping, and then unlock and make that FSB scream.
(I just got one for my wife, but shhh, it's a surprise. (cus she don't like me spending money on this stuff) But it should go well with her new epox kt333 mobo and 400mhz ddr :Q )

I can't remember what I paid for mine, but it was a lot more than that🙁 Then again, that was a few months ago.

Anyone remembers what the highest speed XP that can be used for dual setup without having to do any modification to the cpu? Is this 1800+ one of them?

IsOs,

If I'm not mistaken, AMD has modified the 1800 also....I seem to recall reading this at AMDMB.com....🙁

I thought about going dual...especially since Newegg had the TigerMP for $95.00 with free shipping (refurb)....so tempting!

Also, I would love to move these HOT dual TBirds out and a couple of cool XP chips in! 🙂

A while back, the rumors is that future batches of XP will be disabled for dual operation. Anyone who just purchased 1800+ XP from Newegg, can you tell us/show us how/what bridges are now cut?

Thanks for the info.

Tiger MP cares, I neede to pencil the L5's on my Durons to get MP (Yes, the AHLDA stepping Durons have L5 cut aswell).

Pencil the L5 bridges

XP's take a bit more than penciling as they have a small gap in the bridge. People have used all sorts of stuff to fill it.

Unknown. My XP1700's are of the older brown packaging and came L5's closed. I assume that if they are green, they're probably SMP locked.
