I just built my new computer with a locked palamino 1800+ epox 8rda+. When I first turned it on it said that my proc was 100x11.5.... isn't my processor supposed to be running at ~1500mhtz??? I am going to try to o/c so I am going to increase the FSB, but why is it at 100 and not 133? I did check the jumper there is only one jumper to make it 100/133 or neither there is no jumper to set it to 133 or 100.

Check in the BIOS.

Also, a general FAQ on this issue: here.

Manual, page 4-8 right at the top. Set FSB to 133MHz for starters and you can play around from there. Check my post in the official 8RDA+ thread in the Motherboards area for some suggested settings. Also, I would advise sticking with the 1/29 BIOS! My 8RDA+ is not working anymore :( and I suspect a flaw in the 3/05 BIOS.

until we have Durons that use 133mhz this question will keep coming,it's sad but true. :(

Most people dont read the MANUAL !!!!

Most people cant do math either. :(

Could it be that i put in a duron b4 i put in my 1800+? and i did read the manuel. I have a FIC FU-11 which is the same as the 8rda+ so the manuel is different. I also did go into bios and changed the fsb to 133 and 166 but when i boot up it stays at 100.

If it's staying at 100, make sure the JCLK jumper to the left of the northbridge has a jumper on its pins too. Hang in there :)

I was having the same problem with my new CPU. I went into bios and changed the CPU Clock rate from 100 to 132 (it wouldnt let me do 133). And now I cant do anything. The computer starts up and the screen is blank.

THanks

it's probably because your mobo has a jumper to enable 133mhz,what mobo do you have ??

when you cold boot(cutting off all power to your psu), the fsb will reset to 100, you just need to reboot without cold booting.. and you'll get the fsb you chose..
