Emmitt Smith only needs 18 yards for the record  He's been running pretty good today against Seattle, seems like he'll do it today.

I was wondering when he was going to break the record. I dislike Dallas and root for whomever is playing Dallas, but Emmitt has had an awesome career.

Who cares, they put more effort into him breaking the record than winning the damn game. The last I knew, individual achievements came second, winning came first. No wonder I hate Dallas so much. Retards.

There are times when I sit back and I wonder just what kind of numbers Barry Sanders would have put up if he had had the offensive line in front of him that Emmitt did. I'm not taking anything away from Smith, but IMO Smith will always be second to Sanders. Smith's achievement is still great though.

I also think that if Barry had run in a straight line (the fastest way to get from one point to the next) instead of running zig zags, he would have put up higher numbers. No matter, he was still one of the most exciting guys to watch.
