18 per cent “man tax” as well as giving women priority over seating.

Ugh I'm so sick of the hygiene products talk get back on topic or create a new thread

Exquisite example of patriarchy.

No -- EXTREMISM is a mental disorder. ANYTHING taken to this sort of extreme - whether it be liberalism, conservatism, socialism, love for McDonalds or any damn thing -- is not good

Do you get to define extremism? Seem obvious modern western ideals are extreme by dark ages peasant standards.

I'm not explicitly suggesting that this should be handed out for free, although that probably wouldn't be as expensive as you think. And you know why people don't gripe about paying for toilet paper? Because everyone has to use it, and it's so cheap that the cost is almost inconsequential. That's not true of tampons/cups/pads. If you're poor, $10 every month isn't insignificant.

The bigger issue, I'd say, is that there's a tremendous amount of hypocrisy from the guys who whine about this vegan cafe. "Charging men extra to eat at a restaurant? Outrageous! But women, please continue to pay more just so that you don't ruin your clothes (and feel extra shitty) during your period." I'm sure they'll feel sympathy for you once there isn't an effective "being female" tax.

Are you high or just incredibly stupid? Obviously you haven't dared ventured into the dark depths of a grocery store to shop for a family. I think you are also a bit misunderstanding of what happens when a woman goes through her period. Considering I've bought them for my wife on numerous occasions (since I do the grocery shopping), a box of 30+ tampons (and these are name brand, I guarantee there are generic ones available at dollar stores for much cheaper) will run you about $6 - and there are plenty of digital and physical coupons to knock another $1-2 off that price. That's enough to last 3 months give or take. So your numbers are only entirely wrong, leading me to believe you're just a single lonely man that wants to be their valiant white knight in shining armor.

So get the fuck out of here with your $10/month bullshit. You have no real argument or solution, you're just one of many people in life that love to bitch but have no ultimate solution other than "I WANTS MORE MONIES!!11"

I don't wear panties, but my drawers are not in a wad either. I only posted this to bring out all of the hypocrites. Looks like it is working.

It's just a figure of speech.

Also "hypocrite" doesn't mean what you think it does.

To help sooth all the pearl clutchers frayed nerves here's some information that was left out of the original article.

"One week out of every month we have an 18 per cent premium for men which is the same as the gender pay gap," Ms O'Brien said."
...

"The tax is optional but so far, none of the cafe's male customers have refused to pay it."
...

"If men don't want to pay it, we're not going to kick them out the door. It's just an opportunity to do some good," Ms O'Brien said."

How gay would you have to be to not act tough on the internet though?

I just notice that women don't do it nearly as much, not even conservative ones. And according to conservative gay experts they're all effeminate.

No you went beyond that in several posts making up reasons "liberals" would be ok with it. You created this thread to once again whine about imaginary liberals.

Read the thread. The proof is in the pudding. Look in mirror.

Didn't say it was men's fault, just that this is half of the human race and that we've strangely decided that women should just have this extra, mandatory expense for most of their adult lives. I'll bet that, if men bled several days out of every month instead of women, you'd be complaining that women were freeloaders who weren't sharing in the costs of a functioning society.

Nope, wrong as usual... Try again.

Yes it does.

And there are many in here saying:

Women charging more to men is OK.
Women making men go to the back of the seating line is OK.

Reverse these to read:

Men charging more to women is OK.
Men making women go to the back of the seating line is OK.

And you will get quite a different response. I think both of them are sexist.

What do you think?

Noone is arguing that both cases is wrong. Noone. Thats all in your head. The question you really should be asking is why do you need "liberals" to hate on? The thing you are seeking is not here. These are not the libs you are searching for.
