I don't know if it had to do with me being a former fatty, but ever since I lost all that weight - even the slightest bit of cold makes me bundle up like a bear and never want to come out of my cave.

I remember as a fat kid going to school sitting outside waiting for the school bus in shorts and a T-shirt even on the coldest days and I could careless. Now I'm freezing my balls off and it's only a mere 50 degrees F. This sucks. I miss being fat :(

We're justing coming out of our deep freeze here. Drove up into the mountains to look at snow yesterday. Turns out there was a thermal layer hovering about half wy up the slope that melted most of the snow near the road. The temp was 15F warmer at 5500ft than it was at 3000ft.

What's an American degree? Do you mean Farenheit? Or is America trying to hijack 'Farenheit' and replace it with 'American' just like they're trying to hijack 'English' and replace that with 'American'?

True story, my cousin (9) was telling me that he speaks American (he lives in Michigan). I told him that I was speaking English, and he legit didn't understand how it we could understand each other.

FWIW, -14C (6.8F) today here. With the wind chill -22C (-7.6F).

Someone is mad Canada didn't try to hijack the language first.

If the US wants to hijack Fahrenheit they are more than welcome to keep it.

Signed; The rest of the World.

P.S. We suggest Freedom degrees.

Still less ridiculous a unit of measure than "stones" which you use.

Agreed. Stones, along with pounds and ounces, are a hangover from an earlier stupider era. We have pretty much moved to the Kg.

Signed; The UK.

Just biked home at 8F windchill with 40mph winds. Not fun riding into the wind. My ears are still ringing.
