I read that The Book of Bulldozerthread a few days ago. I was going to post about it here but then I realized that even after the fix and the massive insane overclock, the super pi time is still worse than my 4 year old i5 at 3 GHz. Haha. Its still a complete joke.

There are plenty of valid reasons to bash Bulldozer and Vishera. But bashing AMD because of their CPU's SuperPi times is like bashing them for having a slower floppy disk write speed than Intel.

Mobo's makers should revisit its microcode implementation for legacy instructions sets like x87 after looking at this.
