bought a 18.1 lcd NEC/Mitsubishi E85LCD..

Its analog, but it looks fantastic..

Would I see that much of an improvement going digital?

Hard to say. I've got a Dell 1900FP (a rebadged Samsung 191T) and I can't tell any difference when it displays the analog output from my AppianX card versus the digital output from my Gainward GeForce4 4600 card. I suppose that the stability of the card's analog output and the monitor's ability to sync to its input would be the determining factors.

Digital = no ghosting images. Also, less image degration because it doesn't have to go through a RAMDAC which converts the digital image to analog.

Digital = no ghosting???

I thought the ghosting was purely dependent on the monitors response time.

Can the LCD flat screens play first person games like UT or quake 3 in higher resolutions just like the OCR monitors?
