I have a 5 year old laptop that has been through combat with me and really has some sentimental value if nothing else. My display is no longer working. I had a problem before thinking it had to do with IE7 (which I removed) and it was good for a while. On the 21st of July, I shutdown my computer and after returning from convoy turned it back on, but no display, although when it went into wait mode the screen would freeze. It does boot up, beeps once, but no windows screen. I have one tool, a sunglass repair kit screwdriver which I used to take the laptop apart (mcguiver style) thinking maybe there was a loose connection, none were found. I do not have access to another display, does anyone know how I can check or what I should do? It's kind of an old system, P4, but does everything I need (when working).
