17in flat vs 19in crt monitor

Hello,

Is there a big diff between a nice 17inc flat and a low-mid brand 19in normal crt?

Below are some models that I'll probly get
17in flat - (hitachi 625, viewsonice pf775 second hand, lg 775ft, ctx 705f, mitsubishi 17dvnf)
19in - (kds/ctx/auriga 1600x1200 0.26)

I'm upgrading from a 15". I'll be using it for everything (graphics, gaming, word processing etc). So far the hitachi 625 or the second hand pf775 are the ones I'll probly get.

Get the biggest, highest spec, best make monitor you can afford. That is the best advice I can give. If not you'll only end up wanting to replace it before too long. I bought a new Samsung 900NF (19" flat screeN) just 8 months after buying a cheap 17" CTX. I wish I had just bought the Samsung in the first place. This monitor will kepe me satisfied for years.
