1778 $20 Bill

My friends great-grandparents passed away 5 years ago, and then his grandparents did 2 years ago. When the family went to gather things that they wanted to keep he found a 1778 $20 bill. I tought that was amazing when I saw it, because I have never seen anything earlier than 1950's. He wants to find a value for it and is thinking about either selling it to a private collector, or a museum so it can be seen by anyone, but we haven't found a value, so does anyone have a place to check out a value, or an educated guess on its worth?
