Has anyone read this book? Can you give a quick review? Did you find it as interesting as advertised?

Thanks.

Last weeks Newsweek did a story on it and gave it a great review. Perhaps you can hunt down that Newsweek (1776 is on the cover) and perhaps that will offer some insight. I would like to read it but just don't have the time at the moment.

I've read good things about it. Been thinking of picking up the Ben Franklin book, looks interesting.

i just read this book like last week.
its a pretty good history, was interesting enough to keep reading. Its only that one year though so it starts @ Boston and ends little after New York with the war still in uncertain terms after G. Washington's first victory.
But hey, the rest is history (omg, punz0rz!)

I would have been happy to lend you mine.

When I lived in the UK I started a book club for the ppl that we hung out with in the pib. We all lent each other books and software and music and stuff. Our own little library. I have quite a few history book, political books and computer books... and you are welcome to borrow whatever i have.

:)

I would like to get in on this. I had the book in my hands but my GF pulled me out of the store before I could buy it. Any help? PM me.
