I don't know, but it looks pretty cool when you take into consideration all of the positive feedback. After I here some of the opinions here I might get one.🙂
From what I have heard, most of those just magnify the image into a larger, duller, blurred picture, which you can maybe see in a dark room, with a white wall.
Yes, I would say that it is just a magnifier.
Buy 3 and let me know what the "$500 special gift" is....
Seems that they are not actually selling a "175" PLASMA BIG SCREEN PROJECTION TV - WOW" which makes them look all the more trustworthy....
Fresnel Lens...yes it works, but not as well as most pictures show it. This is what made lighthouses better originally...it's a very effective lens setup.
Typical problems are 'fish bowling' along the edges of the image, and of course you need to be in a dark room to get a usable picture. Also your TV is the light source so you have to find a spot opposite the 'image' to put it....this is usually the most difficult part.
If you are looking for a big screen your best bet is to buy a real one 🙂 Of course you could see if the results are good first.
yep its funny, hes just got a bunch of screenshots from the web and make people think the picture will look that good, I recognize 2 of the theaters from AVSForum galleries and theyre not using a crap lens, more like 4k projectors, you can get images that look that good but not for 10 bucks.
