Unfortunately, if a forced BIOS flash didn't work, I'm afraid you're stuck with an RMA (you said you can't) or replacing the EEPROM BIOS chip. Or return it as DOA to the person that sold it to you...
 
I have a gainward gt that I've flashed several times successfully, so I haven't ever had to do it myself, but if you can find a pci video card (or buy one for the cost of a 6-pack) you should be able to start the computer with video so you can reflash the gt.

Edit: To clarify
1. Remove GT
2. Install PCI video card
3. Boot to BIOS, set to init PCI video first
4. Shut down
5. Reinstall GT, leave PCI card in
6. Boot to Flash disk/cd, reflash card.
7. Reboot to BIOS set back to AGP
8. Remove PCI card.
9. Give it a try.
 
find the eeprom's model numbers etc.

Find diagrams

See what kind of things clear those eeproms... usually voltage in certain pins etc will clear them. Find out, clear try again, if not, find another eeprom.
 
is there any other way to fix this problem? cause i have the 6800gt gs version and i like know nothing about replacing the eeprom or reprograming it

also i posted my problem on another forum and one of the admins said that they would try and get my eeprom (20,FF) on the list so it can be flashed, now if that is done does that mean my card will work again?
