I've lost mine before, and it turned out I had accidently dragged it to the side, or top of the screen without realizing it. Maybe it's something silly like that.
 
no it's still there at the bottom as seen by the start menu apperaing from what seems like out of thin air at the bottom. also, i would never drag mine. please remember, when i unistalled longhorn inspirat, it was at the bottom. i have not made any changes to position since ealier today when i uninstalled longhorn inspirat.
