1700 XP T-Bred and MSI KT3 mobo

I have heard that this combo doesn't work correctly, I was thinking about getting one (XP 1700 T-Bred) but thought I heard a rumor about them not liking each other.
Sorry bought that guess I should proof read.

1700 or 2700?
i haven't heard of any problems with the combo.. hm,,
 
works fine here. i had some problems earlier, but it seems to have to do more w/ the heatsink and my underestimation of how a smaller die really effects heat, regardless of the fact the tbreds disapate less wattage.

in fact, the cpu is runn 166x9 (1.503ghz) and is being detected as an 1800+. no unlocking was done on my part.
