Just looking for some recommendations on what I might need to upgrade to get some higher speeds. Heres what I've got now:
AMD T-Bred B 1700+ @ 1909mhz
Crucial PC2700 @ 347mhz TRAS:6 TRCD:2 TRP:2 CAS:2.5
FSB 11 x 174mhz
Vcore 1.8v
Leadtek K7NCR18D-Pro
Chaintech Geforce3 Ti200 @ 220/500
3DMark2001 - 9696

You probably already know that my board doesnt unlock the multipliers so I am stuck at 11x.
I can boot at 175mhz fsb but Windows will eventually freeze or I get a BSD. (ram maybe?)
I have tried up to 185mhz fsb ;) with varying voltages but cant post any higher.

I have an Alpha heatsink not sure on the model (the silver 60mm one)
Im at around 110deg F right now at a full load.
Im thinking of watercooling but I dunno cuz I cant post any higher than 175mhz fsb as it is.

Think I can get more or am I about maxed out? Suggestions?

That's a 30% overclock. Be happy with it! I'd kill for a 30% increase as I only get 20% more on my 1.4GHz Tualatin Celeron oc'ed to 1.68GHz.:)

turn down your vcore. my 1700+ is 100% stable at 2000mhz with a vcore of 1.75. i'm using a stock amd hsf. trust me, 1.8v is too high for a tbred-b...you're really going to shorten your chip's lifespan at that setting. (i know, mine isn't much lower...). good luck :)

I thought they had a new BIOS for that board that put multiplier unlocking in it? Not sure if I am remembering the right board:(

I think your voltage is fine. The fried chips I've read about were at 1.95V and higher.
Your temps sound pretty low, I don't know why you'd need watercooling.
What to upgrade? I would get a video card. When the FX comes out there should be good prices on the Ti4600. Radeon prices may come down too.
If you can enable higher multipliers on your cpu you may be able to push it faster.
What is the voltage on your ram? Can you up your fsb if you loosen the timings on it or raise the voltage? That way you may be able to find out whether your cpu or ram is limiting you.

Well I bumped the voltage back to 1.775 and all is well.

If I try to boot over 174fsb I get a screen that says Award Bios Boot Block....Whats that?
I get the feeling that it isnt the ram because if i loosen the timings I stil get that stooopid screen. I also cant up the ram voltage on this board...damn Leadtech.

As for the video card...I got it up to 259/509 today. That a goot bit more than the 175/400 stock speeds. I have a 60mm Delta on it though. :p

My 3dmark 2001 scores are up to around 10200 or so.

Wow, nice overclock on the ti200!
I don't know what that Boot Block message is.

You are stuck running your vcore at 1.8 to get your 1909MHz. I would be happy with 1.9gig and leave it that that. I would not push the vcore anymore unless you have very good cooling and can keep the temps around 50C under load, though others will say it's ok to go higher, pesonaly I would recommend against it.
