I got a 10003 3dmark score on this system

1700+ Tbred B
ECS K7VZA
256MB PC133 Crucial CL2 ram
GeForce TI 4200 64MB @ 320/600

then when i ran it again i got 9770

Running at 320/320 I get like 9780

300/300 I get like 9750

so how did i get that one high score? kinda confusing

if you ran your system without letting it cool down that might be your problem. 3dmark will significantly raise your system temp which will reduce effeciency

What? sorry that makes no sense at all. in truth 3d mark scores vary by around 300marks quite often. perhaps the first time was after a reboot and with all background apps shutdown

after like 15-20 more runs of it , I got a consistent max score of 99xx, so i guess the 10003 might not have been too far off

Sometimes I have found running the memory/core speeds too high will actually reduce performance, at a certain point. It's also best to reboot between testing, to free up any memory that hasn't been released by the program.

Cheers
