4400. Same cache, more speed, cheaper.

170 for $280? Where?

I can get one off Newegg for roughly $220. I'm sure there are cheaper places out there, but th at's just off the top of my head.

The 165 is just as good if you're going to OC, it's around $160 if you can find one in stock.

Overall now I would have to say 4400, but I would get the 89w version. If you OC.

If you don't oc, the 4400 will suffice. Even though it's a relatively small 200mhz difference.

i'd say get the cheapest one unless the opty 170 has been proven recently to o/c better than the 4400+

If you plan on overclocking I'd go with the 170 ... running at stock speeds go for the 4400+.

I always base my buying on price. Then look at overclockability. So if a 4400 is cheaper and overclocks almost as well as a 170 then I'll get the 4400. If the 4400 does not overclock as far, is the extra overclockability of the 170 worth higher price? That's basically how I do it.

just let us know how it goes when you're all done.
