17 Year old kills 2 clerks and will most likely get life in prison if convicted

This is total BS...he kills them so they don't call the cops on him after he steals money from the register (probably $100 or so) and some cigarettes...one of them did everything he told her to do and he still KILLED her...

From the article: If convicted of first-degree murder, Swanson would face a mandatory sentence of life in prison without parole.

Assuming he gets convicted, he will now have 3 square meals a day, a roof over his head and free medical benefits after he took the lives of two innocent victims...

I wonder if the victims had relatives or friends who were against the death penalty will still feel the same way after this.
 
It's clearly not his fault... plus we might find a cloned twin brother in 50 years that will exonerate him... we just don't have the technology...HIS DEATH WOULD BE ON YOUR HANDS
 
The current laws are ridiculous... People like that shouldnt even have a trial. Just put them to the wall and shoot em in the head the same day. If there was any doubt that he did it, I'd understand. It would have to be proven. But he was already caught in the act. What's there to even think about or consider? That he is 17? Big f-ing deal... In the old times, people already married and had kids when they were 13... Some even served in the army. This guy took two lives away, therefore his own life should be taken.

It is me, and everyone else here that will be paying taxes so that this hellspawn can enjoy food, housing, cable TV, books, and possibly even a college education in prison. He will write a memoire when he turns older, maybe behave himself well.... They may release him when he gets old, and he may even get to live the remainder of his life in peace and probably rich too from writing a book.
 
It's probably because he was not afforded the same opportunities in life to succeed at an earlier age like others productive members of society. This is the perfect case for rehabilitation. He can be treated in a mental facility and released in a few years as a productive member of society.
 
I wonder if the death penalty alone would have saved two lives in this case.

Knowing he would be executed might have made him think twice before killing these two.

If you are a Democrat, imagine giving Darth Cheney that power over you.

Now THINK next time. Because suggesting we skip trials is not just moronic, it makes you more dangerous than that 17 y/o aspiring serial killer.

I'm entirely in favor of saving the taxpayers from giving him a peaceful 50 years paid for. Hell, maybe that's why he did it. What I will not stand for is the removal of trials.

The democrats really do need a stronger leader. Instead of sucking GOP dicks and not getting anything done, they need a serial killer to run the show.

I doubt it, but a bullet in the head would certainly keep him from taking up any more resources.
Plus if they bury him in a hole in the ground with no casket it's even more environmentally friendly.
