17 Virus-Infected Files Inside a Zip File

am I safe just leaving them in there? I can't delete the entire archive, but I don't plan on accessing any of the infected files.

(I just finished reformatting my computer because of the virus... just some trojans that couldn't get through my firewall, but it was nearing reformat time anyways. the file in question is a zipped archive of my old C drive. I'm hanging onto it in case I need something from it.)

why not just delete it exactly? I mean, if it's so virus ridden, it's not like you're ever gonna get the files inside.

Once a system has been compromised, you can never be sure of the extent of the damage...
