I own this monitor. Great image quality and flat screen. Contrast is not as good as a Trinitron, as expected, but very crisp display.

Max. res. is 1280x1024, I think.

I just bought this monitor last week for a family member...

Buy.com has the monitor for about the same as Onvia. I called Staples and they price matched,
AND I told the CSR that Buy.com had FREE shipping for orders over $50.... I did not mention that it did not include monitors. The CSR "REGGIE" did not even check to see if Buy.com had FREE shipping..... and gave me the FREE shipping as well!

So.. I ended up getting the monitor for $178.90 SHIPPED! (after $40 Staples coupon/$30 rebate).

Glad to hear it is a good monitor. It does 85Mhz at 1024X768... good enough!!!!

I had trouble getting Staples to price match Onvia...... that's why I used Buy.com.

To find the monitor at Staples.com just type in SEARCH "Samsung Syncmaster".

I got a 17" Viewsonic E771 from Onvia for $175 , remember onvia is free shipping. I used a coupon from Tech Bargains and then a rebate from pointclick, which i still haven't seen btw. But anyway, bottom line is using a coupon on Onvia plus the always free shipping is a pretty damn cool way to go for a new monitor.
