17" or 19" LCD

I'm a monitor newb. I've had a KDS 15" LCD for a couple years now, and though it's pretty nice, I would like a larger screen as 15" is pretty lame sometimes. I have a fair amount of money to spend and I want to make a purchase I won't regret within the next 2 years at least, hopefully at least 4. Any suggestions?
 
I've been looking at upgrading my monitor also. I had the KDS rad 7 (17" LCD). Well last night while shoping with the wife (ended up getting a refrigator for our anniversary), we went into tiger direct to look at what monitors they had. There ended up being a 19" Sony SDM-S94/silver in their clearance. It was marked for only$180. So far this monitor is working out great. I have no idea why it was returned.

Anyway, take a look at the Sony monitors. You might find it meets your needs. I was considering the two previous mentioned dells and also the 2405FPW dell monitor.

 
Sceptre 19"

I have two of these in dual monitor configuration. Text is sharp, graphics colorful. 12ms response is very good, especially under $500.

Edit: I took a look at that Hyundai link posted by ribbon13. Wow!
