Hey all :)

A while back a bought a used 17" monitor. Worked fine but now the image is slightly blurry. The effects are obvious when looking at text but harder to detect when viewing pictures. But when I'm reading text it makes me feel like I have something in my eye and that it's MY vision that is blurry. Know what I'm saying? hahah. I hate that, so naturally I want to resolve this issue.

I've tried two different video cards and have plugged it directly into the wall rather than a power strip. I have also degaussed it. I have used this monitor at two houses in two different cities and the effect is still the same; Blurry image. Although, I do not have the latest drivers. There isn't a brand number or anything to distinguish it from another Relisys monitor in order for me to get the correct drivers. Obviously, I need to get the latest drivers but will that possibly fix the blurriness? If not, then does anyone know how to resolve this?

Thanks for reading.

Couldn't you get some glasses that would normally make your vision blurry - so that way when you look at the monitor it kind of counteracts the effect? - just kidding...

It could just be that the monitor is not good. Try changing the resolution to something lower - instead of 1024x768 try 800x600 - or whatever.. If that fixes it, then you know you were running the resolution too high. If it does not, then you have a larger problem I suppose. Make sure you turn off any Antialiasing - on fonts, on windows, on graphics - that MIGHT help the picture. THe other thing I guess you should try is changing the refresh rate. Try to make it really high and see what happens.
