17"LCD w/Speakers under$400?

i bought a Sharp LL-171A-B 17" 25ms response time for $350 at frys, great picture and no dead pixels, analog only though if that bothers you. they put it on sale at that price often and if im not mistaken there may be a sale going on currently. i also got a sharp LL-191A-B 19" 16ms response time from frys. again without any dead pixels. so from my experience sharp has a great build quality. i havent used the speakers myself, but i wouldnt count on THX audio, obviously.

great picture though. i bought it for my woman and she really likes it.

Acer AL1715BM at pagecomputers. I paid $387 shipped a month ago. I think they lowered the price since. Great gaming LCD with 20ms response time. I'm very happy with it.

Or if you can find it, Benq FP791, it has better audio than the one above.

Seriously though, don't get LCD mons with built in speakers, they sound really really bad...except maybe the FP791.
