17" LCD for gaming?

Every seems to be talking about 19 inch LCD's... I'm interested in a 17 inch. Anyone have any suggestions?

do you think going with a 17 inch to save money is worth it? or is the overall quality of 19 inch monitors worth it? Aside from SIZE, which is better, performance wise?

They should be the same in regards to speed performance, but the Samsung 770P 17" has a finer dot pitch, 1.5x as much contrast, more brightness, and it's cheaper.
