17" LCD for DVD's

Hi,

I need to get a 17" LCD, the primary function will be to surf the web and watch movies- I know 17" is not big enough for DVD's but I currently have a 7 year old 15" CRT 😛) so 17" LCD is BIG!

I live in India but my cousin who is coming here will be picking it up from the US, so which one would you guys suggest? After some research i narrowed it down to a couple of models... which one would you recommend? and if you have something not on this list... please feel free to post them as well..

1. Princeton Senergy $294
2. Samsung 712N $370
3. Viewsonic VP-171B-2 $356

I cannot use rebates as my friend is moving to India for good so even though the Senergy and the Samsung have Rebates they are of no use to me.. 🙁

for $249.00 at Best Buy and am very happy with it. They are new to the market as of jan. 2005.
