17" LCD advice

I've decided to go with 17" not 19"; I thought a 19" LCD would support 1600x1200 but apparently not. 17" is big enough...

This one seems pretty good, does anyone have experience with CTX? Can anyone reccomend another brand?

if you play games avoid this as its 25ms response, maybe not sure as one newegg customer mentioned "almost no ghosting", consider the hitachi as that is a 16ms monitor but a little more expensive CML175SXWB, i don;t think Newegg offers the one with out the speakers which would sell for 50$ less than this one that has speakers check out pricegrabber for this type of monitor it should be around 435$

i have the vp171b that is also a 16ms response but they sell around 500$, i got it from dell when they had it for 473$ and this is a great monitor if you are willing to pay around that price


EDIT:also are you interested in DVI the LCD's i mentioned have this input but the CTX lacks it

There are some cheap ones with 16ms response time but they are brands I have not heard of, like "NU" and I don't know whether or not to trust it...
