I'm building a second system and will probably use it with my present Princeton Ultra 92 19" monitor. The system is for a kid primarily for gaming, so the mediocre .26 dot pitch isn't really gonna matter to him.

But I need to find a 17 inch replacement for myself. I'm looking to spend somewhere around $300 up to $350.

Anyone know of a GOOD true flat CRT with dot pitch lower than .26 in that range?

IIyama Vision Master Pro 410.

Awesome monitor. Flat CRT, and I think the dot pitch is like .24. Anyway, I run it at 1152 and it is perfectly sharp. Wonderful colors, too.

Oh, and Sony makes a good one, too. Both are in that price range.

How about the Samsung 700NF? It has great specs, great picture, is is a little cheaper than $300.

Check out the KDS AV series. You can get a good deal on one of these at staples using pricematches and coupons.

We have a lot of different monitors in our office. One that stands out is the Viewsonic EF70. Its a 17" flat screen AG monitor. Nice bright well saturated colors. It's priced well under $300. In a non AG type monitor, the Samsung 753DF and 755DF's are nice at a very good price.
