17 inch LCD (Samsung or NEC)? for gaming?

I want to get a new monitor 17 inch lcd for gaming. I don't care how much they cost, just whether which 17 inch looks the best for gaming.

And I don't want a CRT, cuz i don't have room...lol

Just get any LCD maker on the phone and tell them that. I'm sure they'll be happy to help you find a screen if you will pay anything...

from my experiences, dont get the Nec 1760nx. it sucks 16ms.
get the samsung 172x with 12 ms response time. for image quality, i like the ones on display at best buy, they were LG ones, really nice compared to the others. not sure about response time. if u want gaming get lowest response time or better yet just stick with CRT.

i got a 172x, cant any happier with it. It is very slick. I'm buying two more and setting up triple LCD display with my new monitor arms

games play great on it btw
