nice response time, but not too good contrast. Resellerratings has mixed reviews about the site. I don't think I would want to deal with an unknown company when buying and LCD. I learned my lesson on that one.

Provantage is NOT an unkown company. They are huge. I have bought from them several times without problems

Ditto. Provantage is a very good company. Huge is to say the least. They have so many warehouses i don't have to wait more than a day for any of my orders.

CompUSA has this 17" LCD for $180 AR ($300+ down up front, however). I just checked it out B&M but couldn't get any real test on it like DVD playback or game performance. I played around with a nice widescreen LCD in there that had Halo on it, and the reponse and performance was pretty bad, and I attribute it to the PC they had it on. So I'm not sure if I could have even gauged the performance of the $180 LCD on their weak systems.

I hope 17" LCD prices are coming down; I'd love to get one.

LOL Yeah, you gotta love it when people call a company an unknown just because they've never heard of it.

Anyway about this deal, there is no DVI on this LCD.
