Just in the past couple of days ive noticed my kds monitor making a poping sound everyso often. It will do it alot when i switch web pages or go back to my desktop. It even does it while im just reading somthing. It sounds like loud static electricity. Somtimes the screan may even flicker a touch. Does anyboby know what up with this. Is it going bad?

I probably wont be much help. But ill give it a go.

Do you have anything near the monitor that could cause the static sound? Like a radio?
My NEW FE700 makes popping sound but only when resizing the resolution.

Is the monitor really old? I'm no expert but maybe you could just bring it in somewhere to get it checked up. If you dont but the guys answer then im sure someone else from here will be able to help you better.

Nothing is by the monitor. Its only 1 1/2 yrs old. I purchased the 3 yr warranty on it. I dont want to take it in if nothings wrong. Its never done this before though.

My guess would be it's going bad. I had a monitor go out like that once only it didn't last days, but it did make several pops that sounded like static electricity. Other than taking it in, use it until it dies. Just don't leave it on unattended.
