I'm looking for a budget 17" LCD (standard aspect) to use as a second monitor for the HTPC. This will be mounted on a bar looking into the kitchen, and used for watching TV/Videos, general web surfing and office tasks, and occasional light gaming.

Most 17" LCD's are fairly cheap these days, so $ is a factor, but not the only one. I think I am looking for:

- Decent viewing angles
- DVI support
- Good enough response time for TV (games secondary)
- Narrow bezel for stealth (black preferred)
- Bonus points for built-in speakers
- Bonus points for inexpensive

NOTE: Don't waste effort linking to Newegg, I am Canadian, so I will likely be buying at:

NCIX or Future Shop or something like that.

Thanks for any and all replies.

Thanks for the input. Speakers are an optional extra for this purpose, but DVI is a must (will be running a 25' cable) and 17" is as big as I want to go. I was even considering 15, but too hard to find now.

I found this LG at NCIX LG L1752T

Specs look OK, but I can never figure out what panel type these things are. Anyone know how to dig up the panel info?

Any other suggestions out there?
