17-20" LCD recommendations needed

I'm in the market for either a single 19-20" LCD, or two 17-18" LCDs. Here are my heirarchies (sp?) of importance....

Single 19-20"
Run 1600x1200 natively > Low response time > Price > High contrast ratio

Dual 17-18"
Run 1280x1024 or higher natively > Price > Low response > High contrast ratio

Personally, I'd peg a low response time as being anything <=25ms rising and falling, and a high contrast ratio as anything >=400:1. I'm NOT looking to spend more than $1000, and my sweet spot is $600-800.

bumpity bump

So far I'm thinking I should go with a single Dell 2000FP or pick up two 17" LCDs when dealnews/bensbargains lists 'em for <=400 ea.

I HIGHLY recommend the Apple 20" Cinema display. I have it hooked up with my PC (Radeon 9600) and the resolution is set at its native of 1680x1050. It looks absolutely stunning in 2D and 3D! You must purchase the ADC-to-DVI adaptor which will run around $100.

I have owned approximately 6 LCD monitors (Samsung, Sony, Philips, Planar) and nothing comes close to the Apple Cinema 20". It is worth every penny.

Questions, please ask.

AFAIK there arnt any sub 25ms 19" TFTs out.
So the best best would be dual 17" TFTs.
I`d go for Dual Hitachi CML174SXWB`s (17", 16ms responce time). They are relativly cheap, compared to what they used to cost, now.

Philips 200P3 doesn't have the fastest response time on paper, but the acutal performance is very close.
