16X10X40 at Fry's for $169 after rebate

I saw this ad in Fry's newspaper insert today.
I believe the brand is Pacific Digital. It is selling for $189-$20 mir =$169.
Someone told me these are rebadged Yamahas but I am not sure.

I think yamaha has their own drive now.

the 16x yamaha has 8megs buffers, I think it's the only drive with 8 megs.

Not every single drive out there is a rebadge Plextor. Some are rebadged Sanyos, Ricoh, and Yamaha.
