Does one exist? I've noticed Pioneer hasn't updated their SCSI line of DVD drives in a long time. Does Toshiba have one?

incallisto, Chriz was asking about SCSI 16x DVDROM's...not IDE. :)

Chriz, I have only seen a 10x SCSI (304s) Pioneer drive.

Check the Pioneer website and online reviews...

Although I think the highest speed for SCSI right now is 10X. But why would you want that? I have a 6X SCSI Pioneer DVD ROM and it reads CDs at 32X. It's the same for 10X DVD ROMS as well, maybe the access time is lower.

IMO there's no difference between 10X SCSI and 6X SCSI.

Well i looked on the Pioneer website, and it said the fastest SCSI DVD drive it had is 6x, while it had 6x, 10x, and 16x in IDE flavors. Are you sure Pioneer makes a 10x SCSI?

Hypermicro carries the Pioneer 10x drives. I don't think the speed justifies the cost in this case though.
