16ms analog -----> 12ms dvi....big improvement??

i have a 16ms sony analog lcd and have been looking at the 12ms dvi samsung the 710T i think it is. I can get about 300ish for the sony. Am i going to see a large enough improvement to warrent 200+?

God no. That's ridiculous to even consider. Save that $200 for a real upgrade, like a large monitor, or a new video card.

It's arguable as to if the Samsung 12ms panel is really any better than the old Hydis 16ms panel we all know and love. And analog to DVI isn't that huge of a deal. Plus Sony styling is sweeeet.

Well he did ask which one was better so naturally , 12ms dvi is excellent

Has the colour on 12ms improved over 16ms? Because the drop from 25ms to 16ms in the colour reproduction department was horrible..

No he didn't. The only question mark in his post follows the question: "Am I going to see a large enough improvement to warrant $200?"
