I guess it's a new build and he is asking for opinions.

Well I have a couple thoughts, I would step down to a 3000+ and I would go with a x800xl instead of the 6800GT. The x800xl will save you money as well a bit better performance.

Use? - Gaming/Video etc...
Overclocking? -Yes/No

6800GT>X800XL. It may not be better value, but it is a better performer.
3200+ is a good chip at stock, and it's easy to overclock if you wish.

6800gt performs better in OpenGL games, x800xl in d3d.

Btw, try and get a 3.0 GB hard drive.

Dude 6800GT is more expensive and it actually doesn't perform as well as the x800xl in many cases. I don't think you know what you are talking about, here is some infor to help you out READ FIRST BEFORE GIVING ADVICE
