Just swapped out my vid card in my secondary (received my 8800GT in my primary thru eVGA's step up). Noticed a 3-5deg temp rise in my NB, and figured this was normal, due to the extra current demanded by the PCIe slot.
I did nudge the NB HSF a bit while installing (in my DFI LANParty nF4 UT, the NB is right under the primary PCIe slot), and just have to niggling feeling that may also be a cause of the rise in temps.
Is the 3-5deg temp in the ballpark for those that have done a swap like this?
TIA!
