If you are sans measuring cup, a normal tap puts out 2.2gallons of water a mintue.

Soo...if you run your tap for 3.409 seconds, you will have 16 oz of water.

If you don't have a measuring cup and need it to be fairly precise, look around the kitchen... 8 oz yogurt cup, bottom of your cups might tell how many ozs, glass jar from spaghetti sauce, lots of things are marked for capacity.
