160G intel & trim

So I've updated the FW in my G2 intel drive to the newest FW. I made one mistake though and I think TRIM functionality is not working on this drive. When I installed windows 7 pro...I installed the MB chipset drivers for my asus P7P55D Deluxe drive, but then I also installed the intel matrix storage drivers which overwrote the windows 7 msachi driver.

Currently the system is running snappy and AS SSD benchmarks are consistent with everyone elses scores. is there a way to reinstall the MSACHI driver without doing a reinstall of windows 7? is it even worth it to do that or should I just wait for the intel SSD toolbox to be released and the newest intel storage matrix driver which will support TRIM. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you open up your device manager and expand the "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers" section, you will see your SATA controller there. Right click on it and update driver, then click browse, then click let me pick from a list. One of the drivers listed there should say something about Standard AHCI SATA controller. Select that one and reboot and you should be set.

That worked like a charm! I expanded the IDE controller details and there are 4 drivers present. One of them being msachi. So trim is now enabled on my updated g2 intel drive then?
