Q. Is there a maximum resolution for the DVI output?

A. Yes, it is 1600x1200.

Is this true??? How come I'm running at 1680x1050 on my FPW then using DVI on my 7800 GTX? Should I use regular vid connector instead of DVI then?

Single link DVI can go up to the native res of the 2405, 1920x1200 without issues.

1) See Jello's comment
2) 1680x1050 is actually less overall pixels (therefore less video bandwidth) than 1600x1200
3) Never use VGA on an LCD at high resolution if you can avoid it ;)

I think techincally only dual link DVI can go above 1600x1200 at 60hz. Not sure though, someone correct me if im wrong.
