why not go for a 20.1 or 22IN LCD with 1680x1050?

if you're limited to that resolution, i'd take it just because its a LCD and your video card might not be able to handle much above it

I got my 19" unit for $212 shipped on 12/13/06. It has been great, but you can get a 20" unit for that now and a 22" unit for a little bit more. And yes, it is absolutely worth it, even if you end up just going for 19". Check out newegg monitor prices, they have some nice units and great prices.
