I was just glancing over the Steam Hardware & Software Survey, a pretty fun read if you haven't checked it out, and saw what I thought was a weird anomaly:

The most popular multi-display resolution is 3200x1080.

How does one get that resolution? I don't think I've ever seen a 1600x1080 display, and a quick look at newegg supports this. Maybe 6 1066x540 displays? ;)

A guess is that it is a virtual desktop selection suitable for certain gaming/games.

1920x1080 + 1280x1024 secondary.
Combined horizontal x biggest vertical. Any 23~28" 1920x180 combined with a 17~19" 1280x1024 5:4 secondary.

other is 23%, most likely encompasses most of the triple 19x12 or 19x10 monitor setups.

That makes sense, I hadn't really though of two unmatched displays. When I run two displays, I try to get as close as possible (home is two 1680x1050, work is two 1920x1200). I guess I just have to think outside of the box...
