So, I used to mine altcoins and have a 1600w EVGA Titanium PSU laying around from that just sitting here collecting dust. My proceeds from mining paid for it so I'm really just trying to utilize it in something productive to either use or sell.

I've built many machines and never really needed anything over 700-850w. I don't want to make a ridiculous build for no reason, so I'm just looking at single cpu and gpu set-ups.

Basically, I had 8 RX Vega running on this 24/7.... What would a sane person do with this thing? Lol.

Yeah, I guess nothing these days really requires anything like this.

I thought about old dual-cpu boards and stuff, but that would just be a waste. Maybe a threadripper would need it if overclocked? I've heard they use much more than their TDP under load?

And yeah Vega uses about 150w sometimes even less. Lowest I got them down to was 825mv if I remember right at 1250mhz core. 1408mhz core took 9xx mv but I can't remember exact. That's with 1100mhz HBM, but some people unlocked the SoC and ran at 1200 HBM but I never attempted that.

They underclock extremely well and run super cool even on stock blowers. If AMD would release their cards well tuned they would probably have a much better reputation lol.
