1600mhz vs 1333mhz

So I have been told that if you are gaming than 1333mhz is better ram than 1600mhz is this true? If someone has more knowledge on the subject please clue me in.

you're not going to notice anything different. the only time you would notice, is if you are running one of AMD's new APU A6 or A8 processors. it was shown that faster memory did speed up the gaming experience for the integrated GPU. if the memory is the same price, get it, otherwise don't waste you money.

I have the same paired with 16gb of DDR3-1600 1.5v

Between 1333 and 1600, the price is a no factor. With 1600, you have more headroom and flexibility if you upgrade down the road.

I believe AT's recent article on RAM showed that 1600 was the sweet spot in regards to price and performance. No idea why you would even consider 1333. Get 1600, set your RAM speed in your mobo bios to XMP and you're good to do.
