1600+ multiplier stuck on 11 (1700+) after cleaning-Any Help?

After an unsucessful unlocking of my 166+ XP AROIA "Y" it seems I can't get it back to 10.5 default multiplier.I tried isopropanol alcohol and also Acetone to clean the L1 bridges.I used crazy glue for the pits and defogger repair kit for the contacts.I must have cleaned it about 2-3 times with the alcohol and a dozen times with acetone and no luck getting it back to default. There is copper showing between the 3rd and 4th dots in a vertical line but not touching each other.I was wondering if this might be my problem even though they don't touch.Any help out there on what I could try?.

keep trying alcohol....maybe goo-gone......what ever.....just dont take anymore of the top layer off........you'll never get it unlocked if you do....its alot harder.....(i know from experience).........the one bare spot should'nt be a problem.......unless the dots are connected in the bare spot and thats why your getting only the mulitpliers you get..keep cleaning gently....be patient......good luck

Thanks for the responce.I am now stuck at 11 multipluier 1700+ last few cleanings.I tried about a dozen times to clean it with Acetone with no luck and stuck at 11 multiplier,1700+.I'll try some more and hopefully get it back to 10.5 default 1600+.I been applying more pressure than I should be trying to clean it by the sounds of it.Al;l I hope is tp get it back to default or keep trying to unlock it is all I can hope for.

The copper line I mentioned goes from the top off the dot between the 3rd and 4th dot to the bottom dot its that long and maybe touching the pit.I have this feeling thats the trouble even though it doesn't touch the dots.i wonder if I put some non conductive stuff on it and see if thats it.

What are you using to clean the "pits"...? (not the solvent but the cloth or...?)

Possibly a "Q-tip" might get down in the pit or maybe a plastic toothpic...? (soak it a little with acetone to loosen it but remember it dries very quickly)

I am using Q-Tips to clean it.I even tried WD-40 and still at 1700+.Anyone know if the scratch touches both pits it would ground and give me my problem?.It is not touching the top and bottom dots, but the pits may be.Also, can I put some non-conductive stuff on it if its touching?.

Here's some detailed info that might help you track the problem down. 10.5X has all of the four signals controlled by the L3/L4 Multiplier bridges set HI...while 11X resets all signals to LO.

So if the problem is accidental grounding of the L1 bridges during the closing operation, then it was done to all of the 1st 4 L1s...the 5th rightmost one is connected to the L10 bridge pair which is LO and doesn't get set HI until 13X.

So also look for something that might have affected "all of the 1st 4" L1s in a single operation...you get the idea.
