Seems like a decent deal. It is a Trendnet "green" switch with metal cabinet, but NOT rackmount size.

Looks like it would support rack mount if you could find the brackets. From what I can tell it has the screw holes in the sides.

its a nice unit. i have one for my network. No fan and it stays cool (feels room temperature at touch) and its in a closet. The rack mount ears work well with it (how i have it mounted)

Hmm, I could potentially use a few more ports, but I have a hard time paying $80 for a 16-port, when I paid $22 for an 8-port. I guess I'll just daisy-chain another 8-port alongside.
