I didn't think I would like any Slipknot album more than the first, but this one so far is winning.
I'm going to be in line for this the second it's out.

The two songs i've heard are not that great. It's like they've gone from their heavier stuff to more radio friendly produced crap. Then again, it's all about selling albums.

I used to see bands as "sellouts" <cough>Metallica Black Album<cough> until someone pointed out one important truth:
This is how the bands make their living.
When you go to work, and you do what your boss says, is it selling out? Well, the CD buying public (through the record label) is the band's boss. If they need to "soften" the music to be able to reach more listeners, most bands will do that. At least for a little while....

No, you don't give a rat's ass about that heartless corporation. You do it for the money. A musician is supposed to love what they do.When you go to work, and you do what your boss says, is it selling out? Well, the CD buying public (through the record label) is the band's boss. If you kiss your boss' ass, you are a sell out.
If they played well, instead of popularly, what would they have to lose? Another sellout movie soundtrack? Another million a year? Nothing to lose. They're sellouts.
